A Critical Care Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill or medically unstable patients in high-dependency environments such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), or Emergency Critical Care settings. The role involves close monitoring of patients with life-threatening conditions, administering medications and treatments, operating advanced life-support equipment, and responding rapidly to medical emergencies while ensuring high standards of patient safety and compassionate care.

The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities include patient assessment, ventilator and monitoring management, documentation of clinical observations, coordination with physicians and allied healthcare professionals, and supporting patients’ families during critical situations. Prior ICU or acute care experience and valid nursing registration are highly preferred.
