About the Role
We are (fictional) Sehat General Hospital – Specialist ENT & Oncology Centre in Singapore, looking for a Staff Nurse (ENT & Oncology) to join our inpatient team. This role supports patients with ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions and oncology cases, including pre- and post-operative care, treatment monitoring and patient education.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to ENT and oncology patients in ward, day surgery and clinic settings.

Assist ENT and oncology specialists in examinations, minor procedures and post-operative reviews.

Administer medications, chemotherapy (where applicable and credentialed), and treatments according to hospital protocols and physician orders.

Monitor vital signs, pain levels, wound status and treatment side effects; escalate abnormalities promptly.

Prepare patients and families for surgery and procedures, including pre-op counselling and discharge education.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (medical officers, pharmacists, allied health, EMS/ambulance services) to ensure continuity of care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical records system.

Uphold infection control, patient safety and quality standards at all times.
Requirements

Registered Nurse with recognised nursing qualification.

At least 1–2 years’ experience in acute care nursing; experience in ENT, oncology or surgical nursing will be an advantage.

Comfortable working with medical devices commonly used in ENT and oncology care (e.g. infusion pumps, monitoring equipment, hearing-related devices).

Strong communication skills and a patient-centred, empathetic approach.

Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required by service needs.
Preferred/Added Advantage

Prior experience in emergency/EMS or high-dependency settings.

Experience educating patients and families on chronic oncology or ENT conditions, home care and device/hearing-aid use.

Certification in basic/advanced life support (BCLS/ACLS) and oncology-related courses.
